“My boyfriend plays golf at Costa Mesa and recently took me to the restaurant for breakfast. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I ordered an omelette (the Costa Mesa) with ham and cheddar, and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. That particular omelette comes with avocado and there was at least half an avocado’s-worth of ripe, unblemished slices in mine. I chose the O’Brien potatoes (which I’d never heard of before but seem to be home fries with peppers and onions) and the pancakes (there were two) as my sides–both tasted great. I basically rolled out of there and didn’t eat until dinner. A really great value for $8.50. Other pluses: no wait, the ultra casual atmosphere and our friendly server.“
